High School Attended:  Plano East Senior High

Years in ACAP: 2009

College Attending and Major: Texas A & M University (B.S.--Accounting; Masters--MIS)

ACAP Reflections:
ACAP helped to gain a deeper perspective in the business world and has shown me the benefits of pursuing a degree in Accounting.  Through the classes, projects, and corporate tours, ACAP has built a foundation that made me interested in going into the accounting field.  Talking with executives at the Luncheon made me realize and confirm that this is the step I want to take in order to be successful in life.

ACAP Accomplishments to Date:
--I graduated from A & M in four years with the following accomplishments:
          *Bachelor's degree in Accounting
*Master's degree in Management Information Systems
*Internship at Weaver & Tidwell, LLP (public accounting firm)
*Secured a full-time offer to work at Weaver (starting August 2013)

Other Comments:

On a side note, ACAP has given me something that no other program probably would.  It gave me public speaking skills.  I remember on the first day of ACAP, I was a shy boy, who barely spoke and was scared to meet new people.  Towards the end of the program, I was a social butterfly, who even introduced the Keynote Speaker at the Closing Luncheon in front of a huge crowd!  ACAP just isn't accounting and business--it is something more and something special that only ACAP Alums will understand.
