ACAP Reflections:

"I was given a small tasted of what college would be like before being fully shocked when getting here.  The assignments and lectures that we had to fulfill during our week at SMU reflect just what college is all about.  I was part of the program for two years, and I must say that what I received from it is amazing.  ACAP opened my eyes to what college would really be.  I must admit that at the time I attended the program, I thought college would be easier.  Boy, was I wrong!  However, thanks to my exposure through ACAP, I was able to salvage my semester and not crash and burn like many freshmen do.

ACAP played a huge factor in what I have decided to do in college.  ACAP taught me that networking is a vital part of career growth; therefore, I joined two organizations upon arrival to UT.

Due to my networking achieved through ACAP Week, I was able to land an opportunity with Deloitte for a summer Leadership program that I was excited about.

I am also grateful because being in ACAP gave me an advantage in many things that have come across my path here at UT.  For example, assignments fostered through both years that I was there helped me solve assignments I've had for class.  Since ACAP, I have come across four to five projects in which I create my own company, and thanks to ACAP, I was prepared to tackle them all and excel in them.  If I had an opportunity to change something in my past four years, it would be to become involved with ACAP much sooner than I did".

Accomplishments to Date:
Full ride to UT
All other accomplishments were achieved in high school; therefore, not placed here because it is to leave room for the many accomplishments that will be achieved in the burnt orange capital.
