ACAP Reflections:
"
The most important thing I learned from being in ACAP was how to network.  Certain events like the Executive Roundtable, corporate tours, and Closing Luncheon allowed me to meet and network with a multiple of corporate executives.  I was even able to acquire my first internship with an entrepreneur and leather craftsman named Arthur Porter and have since maintained that relationship with him as my mentor.  Even though ACAP is designed to help students gain skills in accounting, while I was there, I gained skills in advertising, marketing, and entrepreneurship.   All in all, the Accounting Career Awareness Program provided me with the knowledge and skills necessary for me to have a successful career".

Accomplishments to Date:
Since attending Howard University, I have become a member of the Black Retail Action Group (BRAG), which is an organization that is designed to help African American students prepare for careers in the fashion retail industry.  I am a member of Grammy U, a collegiate network for the Grammy's which allows me to network with people involved in the music and entertainment industry.  In addition, I recently acquired an internship with a fashion designer in Washington, D.C., and I'm enjoying it very much".
