ACAP students experience various instructional methodologies: facilitator-led briefings, group exercises and discussions, self-directed study, group presentations, online learning, and formal and informal discussions. Attempts are made to appeal to visual, auditory, and tactical learning styles. Students also spend blocks of time in the computer lab.
Accounting and finance professionals are found in every industry from public accounting firms to nonprofit organizations to K-12 schools. However, as the needs of the local and global business market changes rapidly, so does the accounting needs of organizations.
During ACAP Week, students explore the world of business education through the eyes of accounting educators, and shared experiences by NABA and other business professionals, etc. ACAP students receive practical insights on: the profile of a successful student, professor expectations, opportunities in Accounting and Finance, importance of advanced degrees and certifications, and tips for success in the corporate world.
