Preparing Your Career Profile

Knowing yourself is an important step toward a successful career because your job should be compatible with who you are.  When you choose a job that is a good match, you are likely to stay in the job longer and be more satisfied with your decision.  Self-assessment is the process of identifying your values, interests, personality traits, knowledge, and strengths.  Once you have a better understanding of yourself in each of these areas, you can think about how each of them can influence the career choices you make now and in the future.  Using the form below, list two or three entries in each section that best represents you at the current time.
