Career Exploration

The ideal career will be one that matches your interests and fits your skills. Being interested in your career is crucial to daily job satisfaction and personal fulfillment, while having the skills to perform are key to your success. You won't often find a person earning a living at something they can't do very well. For example, not many people would buy a ticket to hear a person who loves to sing but is a terrible singer!

As you explore careers, you'll want to ask yourself:

-- Values:  What is important to me?

-- Interests:  What do I like to do?

-- Abilities:  What am I good at?

-- Outlook:  What careers will be in demand?
